Mathematical modeling of ethylene oxidative acetylation process

In the article, kinetic laws, kinetics, and mechanism of oxidative acetylation reaction ethylene in vapor phase were studied detail 0.4%Rd+4%Cu+7%CH 3 COOK/YuKTs catalyst. As a result research, following optimal conditions for selected: middle zone reactor at temperature 165°C, volume velocity 2000 h -1 , pressure 4 atm, ratio to acetic acid 4:1 an oxygen content 7% by volume. Under these conditions, activation energies reactions vinyl acetate formation oxidation are respectively equal to: E a(VA) = 8.17 kcal/(mol∙K) a(SO2) 19.61 kcal/(mol∙ K). It was found that rate is higher than when exceeds 220°C. The vinylacetate from presence palladium catalyst proposed.
